Imperial Ruby and Diamond Earrings
Ruby and diamond earrings in 18-carat yellow gold (750). Each earring has a claw-set oval ruby at the centre, surrounded by round diamonds arranged along the curved lines of the body and in small settings. The rubies have a total carat weight of 0.80 ct and the earrings weigh 13.20 g.
The photo against a light background shows the openwork gold, with scrolls outlining the jewellery and diamonds running alongside the ruby to the tip. When worn, they cover the earlobe without dangling and stand out with the hair tied back, as in the portrait where the light falls on the ear. They are evening and ceremony earrings, also suitable for those looking for a substantial yellow gold piece to pair with a simple dress.
